1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. They help our website function properly and improve your experience.

2. Cookies We Set

The cookies we set ourselves are only the ones the website needs to work. None of them are used for advertising or to track you across other sites. The one advertising cookie on this site belongs to Meta and is set only if you allow it (see below).

• Authentication cookies: Keep you signed in and maintain your session securely as you move between pages. They expire when your session ends or you sign out.
• Display preference: Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.
• Private campaign access: When you open a private campaign through a share link, a cookie remembers that access for 24 hours so you can return to the campaign without the link.

3. Third-Party Services

• Google reCAPTCHA protects our sign-up form from bots. Google may set its own cookies on that page and receives your IP address and browser signals to make its assessment. See Google's privacy policy.
• Vercel Web Analytics tells us how many people visit each page. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other websites.
• Meta Pixel (optional) tells us whether our Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to BayanihanPH. It runs only if you allow it when we ask, and only on public pages: the homepage, campaign listings, public campaigns, platform updates, and our information pages. It never runs on sign-in, account, verification, checkout, campaign management or admin pages, or on unlisted and private campaigns, so it never sees what you type into them. When it runs, Meta sets a cookie named _fbp (kept for up to 90 days) and receives the address of the page, your IP address and browser details. It also tells Meta when you create an account, start a campaign, or donate to a public campaign: the event itself, plus the amount for a donation — never your name, email, the campaign or the donation. A donation is reported from its thank-you page, after we remove the donation reference from the address. If a public page has a form, Meta may receive a scrambled (hashed) copy of an email address or phone number typed into it. Meta may link all of this to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it under its own terms. See Meta's privacy policy.

4. Browser Storage

We also keep a few conveniences in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us:

• Your email address on the sign-in page, if you choose "remember me"
• The email address awaiting confirmation after sign-up
• When you last saw a platform announcement, so we do not show it again

5. Managing Cookies

• You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking authentication cookies means you will not be able to stay signed in.
• If you log out or clear your browser cookies, your session will end.
• Your Meta Pixel choice is saved in this browser. You can change it here at any time; withdrawing it stops the pixel and removes the _fbp cookie.
