Help Rocky With His Chemotherapy - Rare Cancer

Hello, everyone. I am reaching out to ask for your kindness and support for my childhood friend, Synah Gail Ygpuara, and her loving husband, Rocky Ygpuara.

Rocky is a devoted husband to Synah and a loving father to their three beautiful children. Earlier this year, he joined the Biggest Loser challenge organized in our hometown. He was determined to lose weight, improve his health, and become healthier for the sake of his family. With dedication and motivation, he successfully lost weight and earned a place in the competition.

However, during this time, Rocky noticed a small, marble-like lump behind his knee (popliteal area). What initially seemed like a minor concern quickly grew larger in a short period of time. Eventually, the pain became so severe that he could no longer walk.

After undergoing an MRI and a biopsy, Rocky received the heartbreaking diagnosis of Monophasic Synovial Sarcoma, a rare type of cancer.

His doctors have recommended three cycles of chemotherapy as part of his treatment. Unfortunately, the cost of the medications alone amounts to ₱73,000, excluding doctors’ fees, hospital expenses, and other related medical costs. This is a significant financial burden for Rocky and his family as they prepare for this difficult journey.

Today, we are humbly asking for your help. Any amount, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to Rocky, Synah, and their three children. Your generosity will help ease the financial burden of his treatment and give Rocky a chance to continue fighting this battle with hope and strength.

Please be assured that all proceeds from this Bayanihan fundraising effort will go directly toward Rocky’s medical needs, including chemotherapy medications, hospital expenses, doctors’ fees, and other treatment-related costs.

We are trying to raise 200,000 pesos to cover chemotherapy sessions (1-2 sessions), hospitalization and other medical needs.

For transparency and accountability, a detailed accounting of all donations received and expenses incurred will be maintained to ensure that every contribution is properly documented and used for its intended purpose.
