Help Nanay Delia and Tatay Julio Build a Safe Home Before September 25
For more than 65 years, Nanay Delia, 70, and her husband, Tatay Julio, 71, have called Toting Reyes Street, Andagao, Kalibo, Aklan their home.
Nanay Delia used to earn a small living by selling siopao around the community. However, because of her age and the extreme heat, she can no longer endure walking long hours under the sun. As a result, she has lost her only source of income.
The couple has no biological children. Years ago, they lovingly adopted a daughter who later had four children. Sadly, their adopted daughter eventually left, leaving the four grandchildren in Nanay Delia and Tatay Julio's care. They have not heard from her for a long time, and the elderly couple has done their best to provide love and shelter despite having almost nothing.
To make matters even more difficult, Tatay Julio is currently battling tuberculosis and is undergoing medical treatment. His condition has made it impossible for him to work and help provide for the family's daily needs.
Today, Nanay Delia and Tatay Julio are facing another heartbreaking challenge. Following a court decision in favor of the landowner, they have been ordered to vacate the property where they have lived for decades on or before September 25, 2026.
Thankfully, a kind-hearted individual has offered them a small piece of land where they can start over. However, they have no means to build even a simple home. They urgently need assistance to purchase construction materials such as cement, hollow blocks, lumber, roofing sheets, nails, doors, windows, and other basic supplies needed to build a modest, safe shelter.
We are humbly asking for your help. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring Nanay Delia and Tatay Julio one step closer to having a safe place to call home. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your family, friends, and community would mean so much.
Your kindness and generosity can give this elderly couple hope, dignity, and the security of a home during this difficult chapter of their lives.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion and support. May your generosity be returned to you many times over.
