Supporting My Mom Through Her Cancer Journey

Our family is facing a difficult and uncertain chapter as my mom, Verminda Cosme, continues her medical journey after being diagnosed with Thymic Squamous Cell Carcinoma, previously documented as Stage IIIB, a rare and serious type of cancer.

The cancer has caused fluid to build up around her lungs, making it difficult for her to breathe. She currently has a pleural catheter to help drain the fluid and manage her condition.

We are still at the beginning of this journey. This year, we have started the necessary laboratory tests, CT scans, consultations, and other diagnostic procedures to better understand her current condition and determine the most appropriate treatment. Her latest CT scan showed an increase in the size of the mediastinal mass, making it even more important for us to continue her treatment.

The medical expenses have already begun, and we know that the costs will continue as she undergoes further tests, procedures, consultations, medications, and eventually cancer treatment.

This is why we are humbly reaching out for help.
