Cycle 2gether Brings Compassion: A community outreach program bringing comfort, care, and companions
“Cycle 2gether Brings Compassion: A
community outreach program bringing comfort, care, and
companionship to the elderly.” is an initiative of first-year
Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) students
aimed at sharing time, care, and kindness with the elderly residents
of Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly, Inc. – Sta. Teresa
Jornet Home. The program seeks to bring joy and comfort
through simple activities such as games, short performances,
conversations, and bonding moments. Its main goal is to show
compassion and provide emotional support to elderly individuals
who may feel lonely or in need of companionship. By spending time with them, listening to their stories, and sharing laughter, the
students hope to make them feel valued, remembered, and
appreciated. This activity also allows the students to develop
important values such as empathy, respect, patience, and social
responsibility, making it more than just a school requirement but a
meaningful act of service and connection.
