When the Magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Mindanao, entire communities in the upland villages were shaken to their foundations. Homes that families had spent years building collapsed within seconds. Walls cracked, roofs caved in, and possessions were buried beneath the rubble.

Many families fled in fear as powerful aftershocks continued to shake the ground. Parents carried their children to open spaces, unsure if it was safe to return home. Today, many are still sleeping outdoors—in makeshift shelters, vacant lots, and roadside areas—afraid that damaged houses may collapse at any moment.

For these upland communities, recovery is especially difficult. Their remote location makes access to food, clean water, shelter materials, and emergency assistance more challenging. Some families have lost everything and are struggling to meet even their most basic needs.

Yet amid the devastation, hope remains. Every donation can help provide emergency food packs, safe drinking water, temporary shelter materials, blankets, hygiene supplies, and support for families as they begin rebuilding their lives.

The road to recovery will not be easy, but together we can help these communities rise again. Your generosity can bring comfort to a child sleeping under the open sky, relief to a parent worried about their family's next meal, and hope to families determined to rebuild what was lost.

Please stand with the survivors of the Mindanao earthquake. Together, we can help them move from disaster to recovery, from fear to hope, and from loss to a new beginning.
