Help Leon Beat Cancer Again - Bone Marrow Transplant Fund
Help Leon Get His Second Chance: Bone Marrow Transplant for T-Cell ALL Relapse
My name is Vhee, and I’m Leon’s mom.
Leon is 6 years old. He’s a brave, sweet boy with autism who sees the world differently and loves it purely. He doesn’t talk much, but his smile says everything.
On March 1, 2025, our world changed. Leon was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia - T-Cell ALL. For 1 year, he endured chemo. The needles, the nausea, the hospital stays… he cried, but he never gave up. He’s in Cycle 3 of maintenance now.
Then the news we feared most: Leon relapsed.
His doctor said it’s an “early relapse” because the cancer came back while he was still on chemo. That means it’s aggressive. Chemo alone won’t be enough this time.
To save Leon, he needs a Bone Marrow Transplant - BMT.
His doctor explained: For early relapse T-Cell ALL, BMT is the only real cure. With BMT, Leon has a 50-70% chance to live long. With chemo alone, only 20-30%.
BMT means replacing Leon’s bone marrow with a healthy donor’s. It’s his only shot at a cancer-free future. A future where he can grow up, learn, and live the life he deserves.
Why we’re raising funds + where your money goes:
Our target: ₱4,000,000 for Leon’s BMT
We calculated everything with his hospital:
1. BMT Procedure + Hospitalization* – ₱2,000,000
Surgery, ICU, room, transplant medicines, and hospital bill.
2. Pre-BMT Tests & Donor Search* – ₱400,000
HLA matching, MRD tests, scans, and finding a 10/10 donor match.
3. Post-BMT Medicines for 1 Year – ₱1,000,000
Anti-rejection + anti-infection meds. These are not covered by PhilHealth and Leon will need them daily.
4. Complications & Emergency Fund – ₱400,000
Infections and GVHD are real risks after BMT. We need to be ready.
5. Rent, Food & Transport for 6+ months – ₱200,000
We have to stay near the hospital in Manila.
Our situation:
Leon’s dad is the only one working. He’s in BPO, and his income barely covers our daily needs. We are renting our home and we have no savings left.
We’re not asking because we want to. We’re asking because Leon’s life depends on it. Without BMT, we’ll lose him.
Why please support Leon:
1. Because Leon deserves a future.
He’s 6. With autism, he already faces challenges every day. But he also has so much love to give. He deserves to grow up, to go to school, to laugh without pain. Cancer is stealing that from him.
2. Because Leon is a fighter.
With autism, every hospital visit is 10x harder for him. New sounds, new people, painful procedures - it overwhelms him. But he holds my hand and keeps going. If he can be this brave, the least we can do is fight with him.
3. Because every peso counts.*
₱100 = 1 dose of medicine
₱500 = 1 day of food for us at the hospital
₱1,000 = 1 lab test to keep Leon safe
₱5,000 = 1 step closer to his BMT
If you can’t donate, please share this. You might reach someone who can.
4. Because miracles happen through people like you.
Statistics say 20-30% survival. But I believe Leon can be part of the miracle. With God and with your help, he can be one of the children who beats the odds.

From the bottom of a mother’s heart, thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. Your kindness might be the reason Leon gets to have a future.
