For the Father of a Man Who Never Gives Up

Behind every hardworking person is a story that not everyone gets to see. This is Leo’s story.

Leo is my boyfriend, and he is one of the hardest-working people I know. He works not only for himself and his dreams, but also for the responsibilities he carries and the family he loves. He has big dreams for his future, but time and time again, he chooses to put his family first.

Recently, his father became seriously ill with what initially seemed like the flu. His condition became concerning enough that he had to be rushed to the hospital. When his father tested positive for leptospirosis, Leo immediately made the difficult decision to transfer him to a private hospital to give him a better chance of receiving the treatment he needed.

At that moment, Leo didn’t stop to think about how they would afford the expenses. He didn’t calculate how much money they had left or how they would manage the bills. All he could think about was saving his father’s life. His priority was simple: to make sure his father received the treatment he needed.

Unfortunately, the infection was more serious than they had hoped. His father developed complications and had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). For eight days, the family endured fear, uncertainty, and countless prayers, hoping and believing that his father would recover.

By God’s grace, his father’s condition eventually improved, and we are deeply grateful that he made it through those difficult days.

But just when they thought they could finally breathe a little easier, another challenge came.

The hospital bills and doctors’ fees are now due, and Leo is struggling to figure out where to find the money to pay for them.

It breaks my heart to see someone who works so hard, who carries so many responsibilities, and who would do anything for his family, face a burden this heavy. Leo has always been willing to sacrifice for the people he loves, even when it means setting aside his own needs and dreams.

As his girlfriend, I wish I could take this burden away from him. I wish I had enough savings to cover the expenses myself, but unfortunately, my own resources are limited, and I cannot shoulder the costs alone.

That is why I am humbly reaching out to you for help.

Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to Leo and his family during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would also be a tremendous help.

We are not asking for luxury or anything beyond what is necessary. We are simply hoping to ease the financial burden of a family that has already been through so much and to help them face the remaining hospital expenses.

If there is one thing I have witnessed in Leo, it is how much he loves his family. He may not have everything figured out, and he may not always know where to find the answers, but he never hesitates to show up for the people who matter most to him.

Now, I hope we can show up for him and his family, too.
