Hi! My name is Anne, when I grew up I always knew that I had a seizure disorder but the reason why it keeps on happening wasn't found until recently in the month of July. I was admitted because of my seizure and the requested to let me undergo a 2D Echo (two-dimensional echocardiogram). That was when my heart condition was found.

I'm diagnosed with two types of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) at the age of 23 which is actually just recently. The first condition I have is Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) is when opening between the upper chambers of the heart (the atria) that fails to close naturally after birth and Atrial Septal Defect, Secundum Left to Right Shunt (ASD) which a hole forms in the center of the atrial septum (the wall between the upper heart chambers). I am the first to have two heart conditions at the same time here in Cebu City which the doctors made a Research Article about my condition.

I will undergo a surgery to shut both of the holes by the start of next year and there is a huge possibility that it will be an open chest surgery since the newly found type of surgery which is known as the Transcatheter device closure is impossible with my case. The surgery needs to be done if possible as early as the start of January 2027 and it is already a few months away.

This surgery will be a chance and an opportunity for me to live a longer life and the hope to live a normal life. I'm seeking for the best help I could get and the strength to get through with all of this.
