Together for Our Mama’s Healing Journey
It started when our mama had a fever and felt dizzy. She later collapsed in our bathroom, so we rushed her to the hospital. Her CT scan results were normal, but her hemoglobin level was very low. The doctor prescribed vitamins to increase her hemoglobin and advised a follow-up check-up after two months to monitor improvement.
Weeks later, she was still not feeling well. She continued to have a fever and began experiencing difficulty breathing. We rushed her back to the same hospital, where she was initially diagnosed with pneumonia and given medication.
However, in less than 24 hours, her breathing worsened. We decided to bring her to another hospital, where we were told that she did not have pneumonia but was suffering from anemia. She was confined there for 10 days, during which several procedures and laboratory tests were conducted. Based on the results, the doctors suspected acute myeloid leukemia.
Our mama underwent a bone marrow aspiration and was temporarily discharged while waiting for the results. On June 19, she was readmitted, and it was confirmed that she has acute myeloid leukemia.
Before starting chemotherapy, the doctors prepared her body, and she underwent a procedure to insert a PICC line, which is now being used for her treatments. Her chemotherapy began on June 23, and she is currently in the recovery process.
While recovering, she has been experiencing the side effects of chemotherapy, and the doctors continue to conduct various tests. She has been suffering from persistent fever and chills, loss of appetite, constipation, dizziness, and stomach pain. As her hospital bill continues to increase, the hospital has temporarily stopped providing services until we are able to settle the remaining balance.
We are humbly asking for your prayers and any form of support to help us continue our mama’s treatment. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, love, and prayers. 🙏❤️
