Every Moment Counts: Help Charlene Fight Stage 4 Cancer and Secure Her Children’s Future

Dear friends, family, and kind hearts,

We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts but an unyielding hope for two people who mean the world to us—our college classmates, Charlene and Wilson.

Charlene is a resilient cancer survivor, but life has dealt their family another devastating blow. Her cancer has relapsed, and she has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Her doctors have moved her from chemotherapy to daily oral targeted therapy and specialized treatment.

The Financial Battle Behind the Medical One

Charlene’s lifelong maintenance drug, Ibrance, costs approximately ₱4,800 per tablet, which she must take every single day. On top of this, she requires an additional injection every three months costing ₱12,000 to manage her pre-menopausal treatments so the medication can work effectively.

While Wilson is doing everything he can to apply for Patient Assistance Programs and government aid, these processes take time, and approval amounts are uncertain. Compounding this crisis, Wilson and I were both recently affected by a company-wide layoff. Though he received separation pay, the staggering, continuous cost of daily medications and specialized treatments will inevitably deplete their resources rapidly.

Protecting Their Family and Children

Beyond the immediate medical bills, Charlene and Wilson are parents to three wonderful children. Their eldest, Ethon, is currently entering the seminary, and they have two younger children who are still in school and reliant on their support.

Time is incredibly precious. Our goal is to ensure that money is the absolute last thing on Charlene and Wilson's minds during this chapter. We want to grant them the peace of mind to focus entirely on Charlene’s comfort, treatment, and making irreplaceable memories with their children without the crushing anxiety of financial ruin.
