Today is the first time we are publicly sharing the beginning of our journey.

Please join us as we continuously pray for our baby girl, our little miracle — Samantha Elize “Seiah” Salonga. ❤️

Her name means “a child heard by God, promised and dedicated to Him.”

She is a precious gift from God — seen, known, and deeply loved by Him.

For almost 5 years, we waited, prayed, hoped, and cried for this child.

After years of prayers and longing, God finally answered us with our precious baby girl. That is why no matter how hard this journey is, we continue to hold onto Him and trust His plans for Seiah.

Our journey started on the evening of May 13, 2026.

I experienced light cramps and noticed my underwear was slightly wet. Something in my heart told me that it was not normal, so we rushed to the ER.

Upon arrival, we found out that I was already 1cm dilated at only 27 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I was leaking amniotic fluid.

I was immediately admitted and given medications to help stop premature labor.

The next day, May 14, my OB advised complete bed rest. We were hopeful because if my condition improved, I could finally go home by May 18 and continue strict home confinement until Seiah reached at least 34 weeks.

We held onto hope.

My husband and I were already planning how we would work together while waiting for our baby girl to grow safely inside my womb.

But on the evening of May 16, everything changed.

I started experiencing mucus discharge whenever I peed, along with contractions every 5–7 minutes. My husband immediately called the nurses and informed the doctor. More medications and antibiotics were given to me.

By the morning of May 17, around 9:00 AM, I was advised to undergo an NST because my contractions were getting stronger, and I felt like I was leaking again.

I was terrified.

I was alone in the NST room because no companions were allowed inside.

When they checked me, I was already 5–6cm dilated, and my fluid was continuously leaking. The doctors explained that if the baby stayed longer, she could be harmed.

I needed an emergency C-section.

From 9:00 AM until around 11:30 AM, I endured the labor pain alone. I prayed, worshiped God, and repeatedly sang the chorus of the song “Way Maker.”

“Way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness — my God, that is who You are.”

I held onto those words while trying so hard to be brave for my baby.

At 12:45 PM, I was brought into the operating room. My husband rushed from handling one of our business meetings that day just to be there for us.

After the anesthesia was given, I passed out.

When I woke up, our baby was already in the NICU.

I was shaking uncontrollably and experiencing mild seizures, but the only thing on my mind was my baby girl.

I wanted to recover immediately so I could see her.

The first time I saw Seiah was on May 18, 2026. Even though I was still in pain from surgery, I endured every step just to finally see her.

And there she was — tiny, fragile, yet fighting so bravely.

Seeing her intubated shattered my heart, but I know those machines are helping her survive. Every little movement she makes reminds me of the first time I felt her tiny kicks inside my belly.

This was not the delivery I imagined.

I imagined holding her immediately, taking beautiful delivery photos together, sleeping side by side, and feeding her in my arms.

But God had a different plan.

And while this journey is painful, we continue to hold onto His promises.

We believe that this TEST will become a TESTIMONY someday.

Our precious baby girl, born at 28 weeks, is currently fighting inside the NICU at Mary Immaculate Maternity and General Hospital.
