Help Our 19-Year-Old Sister Fight for Her Future

My name is Mary Rose Aguas, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help in saving my 19-year-old sister, Mary Grace Aguas.

My sister has always been the light of our family. She is cheerful, kind, loving, and always knows how to make everyone around her smile. She has a beautiful heart and has always dreamed of becoming a nurse so that one day she could care for people who are sick and in need. She worked hard in school because she believed that helping others would be her life's purpose.

Our lives changed in an instant when she suddenly experienced an acute symptomatic seizure and had to be rushed to the hospital. It was one of the most terrifying moments our family has ever faced. After examining her, the doctors told us that her brain is swollen and shows signs of an infection. They are currently performing further tests, including a lumbar puncture (lumbar tap), to determine the exact cause and rule out conditions such as meningitis so they can provide the most appropriate treatment.

Since that day, our family has been living with fear and uncertainty. Instead of seeing my sister laugh, study, and talk about her future, we now spend our days and nights beside her hospital bed, praying for good news and hoping that she will recover. Watching someone so young go through this has been heartbreaking.

I recently graduated as a teacher, and I had hoped to begin building a stable future for our family. But this unexpected medical emergency has brought overwhelming financial challenges. Despite doing everything we can, the costs of her hospitalization, medications, laboratory tests, imaging, lumbar puncture, doctors' fees, and ongoing treatment continue to grow beyond what we can afford.

We are humbly asking for your help. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward my sister's medical care and recovery. If you are unable to donate, sharing our fundraiser with others and keeping her in your prayers would mean the world to us.

We promise to keep everyone updated on her condition because we value the trust and kindness of every person who chooses to support our family.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving my sister hope during the most difficult time of her life. Your generosity is more than financial support—it is a reminder that we are not facing this battle alone.

Our greatest wish is to see her smile again, recover, return to school, and continue chasing her dream of becoming a nurse. We also hope that one day, when she has recovered and I begin my journey as a teacher, we can pay forward the same kindness that has been shown to us.

Thank you for your compassion, your prayers, and your support. May God bless you and your loved ones with good health and abundant blessings.
