We need to move by December 2026, and I'm scared we won't be able to finish their shelter in time.
Hello, everyone. π
My name is Ivy, but you can call me Mitch, as that's the name most people know me by. I'm an independent cat rescuer here in the Philippines, behind Miggy Siblings And PWENDS.
I honestly don't know where to begin because, right now, I'm carrying so many worries about the future of the cats who depend on us.
What started years ago with helping one injured stray has grown into a lifelong commitment to rescuing abandoned, sick, injured, senior, and unwanted cats. Along the way, we also began feeding and caring for community cats who depend on us for their daily meals.
Today, more than 250 cats are part of our mission. And we dream of giving all of them something many homeless animals never get to experience: a safe, permanent place to call home.
Some of our rescued cats are already seniors. Some have disabilities or special needs. Others are sick and need continued care and medication. They cannot simply be left behind or expected to fend for themselves.
And the community cats we have been feeding? We want them to be part of this home, too. We don't want to stop caring for them just because they are not all rescued cats living under our roof right now.
They have become part of our lives, too.
π BUT WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME.
We need to move by December 2026.
We have been working toward building a permanent shelter, but the truth is, we are not yet where we need to be. I'm worried about how we will safely move all these cats if we cannot prepare their new home in time.
We are not a big organization with substantial funding or permanent sponsors. We are independent rescuers trying to do what we can with the resources available to us.
We work and find ways to earn because we know these cats depend on us. But with so many mouths to feed, veterinary bills, medicines, and other daily expenses, saving enough for construction has been incredibly difficult.
We keep trying, but sometimes, no matter how hard we work, our resources are simply not enough for everything these animals need.
π‘ WE ALREADY HAVE THE LAND, BUT WE STILL NEED TO BUILD THEIR HOME.
One of the biggest steps we took toward this dream was acquiring a piece of land for our permanent shelter.
But I want to be honest with you: we acquired the land through a loan, and we are still paying for it every month.
It wasn't easy to take that step, knowing the financial responsibilities that came with it. But we wanted to give these cats a chance at having a permanent home instead of constantly worrying about where they would go.
The land has already been cleaned, and we are now trying to move forward with the construction.
But owning the land and building a shelter are two very different things.
We still need construction materials and financial support to turn this empty property into a safe and suitable home for our rescued and community cats.
And with December getting closer, I honestly don't know how we will manage to do everything in time without help.
I'm not sharing this because I expect other people to carry our responsibilities for us. We continue to do our part and find ways to support our rescue. But building a permanent shelter for more than 250 cats is something we cannot accomplish alone.
That's why I'm reaching out to you today.
π HOW YOU CAN HELP US
If you have the means to contribute toward our shelter construction, we would be deeply grateful.
Every donation can help us work toward purchasing the materials needed to build their home.
If you are looking for a way to support our mission, you can also become a regular supporter or purchase from our Merch for a Cause.
And if you're unable to donate right now, please consider sharing our campaign. You never know who might see it and be willing to help.
We also want you to know that we believe in responsible rescue. All our rescued adult cats are already spayed or neutered, and some of our community cats have also been fixed. We do what we can to prevent unwanted litters and help reduce the number of homeless cats on the streets.
We want to do more, but we need resources to keep going.
π TO EVERYONE WHO HAS ALREADY HELPED US, THANK YOU.
To everyone who has donated, purchased our merchandise, shared our posts, or simply taken the time to encourage us, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You may never fully understand how much your kindness means to us.
Every time someone helps, it reminds me that there are still people who care about animals who have no voice of their own.
I know there are many people and animals who need help, and I never take anyone's generosity for granted. Even when our posts don't reach many people, even when our appeals receive little attention, we continue because these cats are still here, depending on us.
Some days are overwhelming. There are so many things to pay for, so many animals to care for, and so many responsibilities waiting for us. But when I look at these cats, I know why we keep trying.
They didn't choose to be abandoned. They didn't choose to become sick, grow old without a home, or live with disabilities.
They deserve a chance to live safely, too.
I don't dream of building something grand. I just want a safe, permanent home where these cats can stay, where our seniors can rest, where our special-needs cats can be cared for, and where the community cats we've been feeding can have a more secure future.
We have already taken the first step by securing the land, even though we are still paying for it. Now, we need help taking the next step before time runs out.
If you can be part of this dream, no matter how you choose to help, please know that we will be truly grateful.
And if all you can offer is a share, please know that it matters, too.
I'm holding on to the hope that, somehow, with the kindness of people who believe in what we're trying to do, we can make this happen.
We need to move by December 2026. More than 250 cats are counting on us, and we desperately want to have their home ready. π₯Ίπ
May our Heavenly Creator bless you and your family abundantly for every kindness you extend to animals in need.
Thank you for listening to our story. Thank you for caring. And thank you for helping us keep this dream alive.
With all my gratitude,
Ivy (Mitch) π

For more than 250 cats, this isn't just about building a shelter. It's about having somewhere safe to go when the time comes to leave the place they know.
