​That has been the reality for my dear friend, Carlo. In 2016, he was diagnosed with HIV. Because of the heavy stigma surrounding the condition and a heartbreaking lack of guidance, he withdrew into the shadows.

He didn't get the medical care he needed. Instead, he carried the weight of the world entirely on his own, trying his best to live a normal life while a silent storm brewed inside him.

​Now, in 2026, at just 33 years old, the silence has caught up.

​Carlo is currently facing a severe medical crisis. His immune system has been critically compromised; his CD4 count has dropped to just 17, placing him in a highly vulnerable stage of advanced HIV/AIDS.

He is currently battling multiple severe opportunistic infections and health complications that require intensive, immediate medical intervention.
