Hello, my name is Anne. I'm a mother from the Philippines, and I'm reaching out with a humble request for help.

I never imagined I would find myself asking strangers for financial assistance, but sometimes life brings challenges that become too heavy to carry alone.

Our family home in Pasay was destroyed by a fire. During that difficult time, I did everything I could to help with the expenses and support my family through the aftermath. I used my hard-earned money and took on financial obligations because I wanted to help my family recover from such a devastating experience.

I never regretted helping when my family needed me. But the financial consequences have followed me ever since.

Today, a huge portion of every paycheck I earn goes directly toward paying creditors. What's left is barely enough for the everyday necessities my child and I need.

I've been working myself to the bone, even taking on second jobs that pay below minimum wage just to earn a little extra. I've pushed myself to work longer hours, take on more responsibilities, and sacrifice my rest because I feel like I have no other choice.

What makes this even harder is that I already have an autoimmune kidney condition. My doctors have advised me to avoid overexertion and take care of my health. Yet here I am, constantly pushing myself beyond what my body can handle.

There have even been times when I've skipped my prescribed medication, hoping to redirect that money toward paying my debts and keeping up with our daily expenses. I know this isn't good for my health, but when you're a mother trying to make ends meet, sometimes you feel like you have to choose between your own needs and your child's.

And what is a mother supposed to do when she feels she has no other option?

Some days, our meals are the same things over and over again: eggs, canned sardines, instant noodles, and whatever we can afford. We alternate between these because they are what fit our budget. There are days when I feel physically weak, but I keep going because my child still depends on me.

I'm not sharing this to ask for sympathy. I'm sharing it because this is honestly what our everyday life has become, and I'm hoping someone out there might understand.

MY GOAL: ₱50,000

I'm hoping to raise ₱50,000 to help pay down my outstanding debts and ease the financial pressure that has been consuming almost all of my income.

This amount would give me some breathing room. It would help me redirect more of my salary toward food, household necessities, my medical needs, and eventually building some savings.

My dream goes beyond simply paying off debt. I want to become financially stable again, pursue an opportunity to work overseas, and give my child a more comfortable and secure future.

I want to wake up without immediately worrying about creditors. I want to buy proper groceries without calculating every peso. I want to take my medication consistently, take care of my health, and finally have the chance to save the money I work so hard to earn.

I want to be a mother who can provide without constantly feeling exhausted, frightened, or financially trapped.

I know there are people all over the world who have their own struggles, and I don't expect anyone to feel obligated to help me. But if you're someone who believes in helping a stranger get back on their feet, even the smallest contribution would mean more than you could imagine.

If you cannot donate, simply sharing my story would also be a wonderful kindness.

I'm not asking for a luxurious life or for someone to solve all my problems. I'm simply asking for a little help so I can stop drowning in debt, take better care of my health, and give my child the future I've been working so hard for.

Perhaps this little act of kindness from someone I've never met could give us the opportunity to start again.

To whoever takes the time to read my story, and especially to anyone who chooses to help, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

With gratitude,

Anne
