🆘 PRAYER AND FINANCIAL APPEAL FOR MY SISTER'S EMERGENCY HOSPITAL BILLS

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts,

I am humbly knocking on your hearts today during one of the most painful and challenging trials our family has ever faced.

On July 22, my dearest sister Luz Angela Perez had to undergo an urgent emergency surgery. We originally intended to take her to a government hospital, but the agony and pain she was experiencing were so severe and unbearable that we had to rush her to METRO DAVAO MEDICAL RESEARCH CENTER the absolute nearest hospital to our home. The doctors immediately advised that she needed to undergo surgery right away to save her life.

Prior to that day, we had NO IDEA that her diagnosis was a congenital condition. Because congenital conditions were not fully covered for dependents under my HMO, our medical insurance could only cover a very small fraction of the cost.

As the breadwinner of our family, it breaks my heart into pieces to see my beloved sister suffering in pain, while watching my mother carry the heavy weight of worry and helplessness. Every single day, seeing them in this state is a pain I cannot fully put into words.

Our Current Situation & Challenges

We have been doing everything humanly possible to resolve our balance:

°Partial Payments Made: Through all our combined savings and initial help gathered, we were able to pay ₱107,000 as a gesture of good faith. However, the remaining total cost is still staggering and way beyond our capacity.

°Government Assistance: We are deeply grateful to LINGAP, DSWD, and TINGOG for extending their medical assistance to us. However, all other government offices and agencies we approached informed us that their medical assistance funds were already exhausted.

°No Assets for Collateral: I tried looking into securing a loan using collateral, but we do not own any real properties, land titles, or assets that we can pledge and be used in a promissory letter.

°Risk of Utility Cut-Off: The hospital has been transparent with us, and we completely understand their policies regarding unpaid balances. However, due to our overstaying caused by the unsettled bill, we are now at immediate risk of having the lights and water cut off in my sister's room.

A Humble Plea for Support

We have exhausted all our savings, financial options, and personal means. We are down to our last resort, which is why I am coming to you with a humble and desperate plea for help.

No amount is too small. Every peso, every prayer, and every share of this post brings us one step closer to settling her bills and finally bringing my sister home safely.
