Help My Brother Walk Again
My brother has always been the kind of person who puts others before himself. He has a good heart, and even when life has been unfair to him, he still chooses compassion.
In September 2025, he was involved in a motorcycle accident. The other rider was reportedly distracted by using a cellphone while driving, and the collision changed my brother's life forever.
After the accident, the other rider pleaded with my brother, explaining that he had only owned his motorcycle for three months and had a two-month-old baby to support. Instead of pursuing a claim against the rider's insurance, my brother chose compassion. He even helped bring the rider home, cared for his wounds, and gave him ₱500 to help him get by.
At the time, my brother believed he had escaped with only minor injuries.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
As the months passed, he began experiencing numbness, severe pain in his back and shoulders, and increasing weakness. By March of the following year, his condition had worsened significantly. Doctors initially feared he might have prostate cancer because some of his symptoms and laboratory results pointed in that direction. After undergoing numerous tests, that diagnosis was thankfully ruled out.
The real cause was devastating.
The accident had caused damage to his spine, resulting in a severely pinched nerve. That injury has gradually robbed him of his ability to walk.
His doctors have now recommended urgent spinal surgery. The procedure alone is estimated to cost at least ₱562,000, not including the required laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, medications, hospital fees,
rehabilitation, and follow-up care.
Time is critical.
Every day that the surgery is delayed increases the risk that his muscles will continue to weaken and atrophy. His doctors have explained that operating sooner gives him the best chance of recovering his mobility through rehabilitation. Our greatest hope is to give him that chance before it is too late.
As a family, we are doing everything we can, but the cost of his treatment is far beyond what we can afford on our own.
That is why we are humbly asking for your help.
How your donations will help:
Every peso raised will go directly toward my brother's medical care, including:
• Spinal surgery (estimated at ₱562,000)
• Required laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures before surgery
• Hospital bills and operating room expenses
• Medications before and after the procedure
• Physical therapy and rehabilitation to help him regain his strength and learn to walk again
The impact you can make:
Your generosity is more than a financial contribution—it is an opportunity to help my brother regain his independence and quality of life. Every donation, whether large or small, brings him one step closer to receiving the surgery he urgently needs. It also gives him the chance to begin rehabilitation while his muscles can still recover, offering hope that he may be able to walk again.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, and community would mean just as much. Every share helps us reach more people who may be able to support his journey.
Our family is deeply grateful for every prayer, every donation, and every share. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for giving my brother hope for a brighter future.
