Scammed with a Fake Phone: Help a Working Student Keep Up with College

Hi everyone, I am reaching out to the community today because I am in a really difficult situation with my studies and desperately need some help.

Recently, my parents saved up some money to buy me a smartphone for school. They bought it online through Shopee, hoping it would give me the tools I need to keep up with my classes. Unfortunately, we ended up getting scammed. The phone we received is a counterfeit/fake model.

Because it is not a legitimate device, it runs incredibly slow and completely locks me out of the vital applications I need for my education. I cannot download or properly access essential school apps like Gmail for my class updates or Zoom for my online sessions. Every time I try, the phone either crashes or refuses to load them.

As a student, falling behind is my biggest fear. And this situation is holding me back. My parents tried their best to support my education, and it breaks my heart that their hard-earned money was wasted on a scam.

I am sharing my story here in hopes of finding any assistance, guidance, or temporary workarounds from the BayanihanPH community. Thank you so much for reading.
