Greetings of peace and hope.

I am writing this letter on behalf of our family, especially my brother Edmar and my sister-in-law MJ, to make an urgent and humble appeal for Medical financial assistance for my sister-in-law, Maripaz Joy. She is a devoted housewife and a loving mother of three young children. Despite being a homemaker, she has always been incredibly hardworking, constantly finding resourceful ways to help her husband make a living. Her husband, my brother, works tirelessly but only earns a provincial minimum wage, which is barely enough to cover her medications, hospitalization expenses, daily household needs, and the upbringing of their three kids.

Our family’s crisis began last June 7, 2026, when Ate MJ was rushed to the hospital due to a high fever, severe nausea, and extreme weakness. It was discovered that she had a kidney stone in her left kidney, and a shockwave lithotripsy was performed immediately. Following the procedure, she was discharged.

However, her condition rapidly deteriorated at home. A few days later, around June 10, she was rushed back to the hospital after her blood pressure critically dropped to a life-threatening 60/40 and 70/40. She had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she fought for her life for five critical days due to severe infection (a life-threatening blood infection).

While her blood pressure has recently stabilized, her battle is far from over. Since June 10, she has been suffering from a persistent, debilitating fever and pabalik-balik na chills. Her body is under extreme stress; just yesterday, she required an emergency blood transfusion due to a severe drop in her hemoglobin levels.

Furthermore, because of sudden abdominal bloating and fluid retention, her doctors have urgently recommended an abdominal CT scan to locate the exact source of the lingering infection.

Because the initial shockwave did not fully crush the stone, the remaining fragments have blocked her kidney tube, trapping the infection inside. To save her kidney and stop the infection from spreading further into her bloodstream, she is scheduled to undergo an urgent emergency kidney stent placement today morning at exactly 6:00 AM. Her doctors emphasized that if these fragments are not bypassed and drained immediately, the infection will worsen, putting her life at risk again and causing our medical bills to grow even larger.

Ate MJ has now been hospitalized for over two weeks. The medical bills, daily IV antibiotics, ongoing laboratory tests, and specialized surgical supplies are increasing rapidly every single day.

Our family has already completely exhausted all of our resources. Her first hospitalization and procedure were funded entirely through a high-interest loan that her husband, my brother, has no clear way of paying back on his minimum wage. Now, facing an enormous running second hospital bill and with no clear discharge date in sight, we are completely overwhelmed and financially buried.

We are humbly knocking on your good heart to help us save Ate MJ. She is a young mother whose three children are anxiously waiting for her return home. Any financial assistance you can extend will be used directly for her continuous hospital medications, her upcoming CT scan, and her ongoing kidney procedures.

We know times are tough for everyone right now, and we are incredibly grateful for any support you can give. Even the smallest donation, or simply sharing this post with your friends and family, means the absolute world to our family.

We would be eternally grateful for any medical guarantee letters, financial aid, or prayers you can offer to help bring ate MJ back to health. Thank you very much for your time, compassion, and generosity. We may never be able to repay you, but we know the Lord sees your generous heart and will reward your goodness.

Sincerely,

Jocelyn and Edmar
