My name Rechelle Ann Macaranas from General Santos City, and I never thought I would be writing something like this.

When the earthquake hit our city and nearby Sarangani Province, everything changed in just a few seconds. The ground shook violently, and in that moment, fear took over our homes. People rushed outside with nothing but what they were wearing, praying for the shaking to stop. It felt like the world itself was breaking beneath our feet.

I remember the screams, the confusion, and the silence that followed when we realized what had happened. Homes were damaged, walls cracked, and families were left shaken—some even unsure if they could safely return to their houses.

My own family was there in that moment too. We were scared, holding onto each other, hoping that the worst had passed. But even after the earthquake stopped, the fear didn’t. It stayed with us as we looked at the damage and thought about how to move forward.

Today, many families in our community are still struggling. Some have lost parts of their homes, others are living in unsafe conditions, and many are trying to get through each day without enough food, clean water, or basic supplies. Parents are doing their best to stay strong for their children, even when they are unsure of what tomorrow will bring.

It is painful to see my community like this—people who once lived peacefully now trying to rebuild from nothing. But even in this hardship, I see something powerful: people helping each other, sharing food, offering comfort, and refusing to give up.

This is why I created this campaign.

I want to help my community stand again.

Every donation will go directly to earthquake-affected families in General Santos City and Sarangani Province. It will help provide food, clean water, hygiene kits, temporary shelter, and support for rebuilding homes that were damaged.

No amount is too small. Even the smallest help becomes hope for a family trying to survive this difficult time.
