On August 14, 2026, our beloved mother, Maribe Ilumba, suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and was immediately admitted to Makati Medical Center.

This happened unexpectedly, and our family was suddenly faced with a medical emergency that required urgent treatment and intensive care. She underwent a coiling procedure, which was successfully completed. We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their immediate care and for giving our mother a chance to continue fighting.

At present, Maribe remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under close monitoring and continues to receive the medical care and medications she needs.

As of this writing, our medical and hospital bills have reached approximately ₱1.5 million, and the expenses continue to increase as her ICU stay, medications, monitoring, and treatment continue.

We understand that Makati Medical Center provides highly specialized medical care, but the costs associated with emergency treatment, procedures, ICU care, medication, and other necessary services are significant. For our family, this has become a financial burden that we cannot manage alone.

I am Maribe's eldest son, and I am humbly reaching out to our family, friends, and kind-hearted individuals who may be willing to help us during this difficult time.

How your donation will be used

We want to be transparent about how the funds raised will be used. Donations will go directly toward my mother's medical expenses, including:

Hospital and ICU bills

Medicines and medical supplies

Ongoing treatment and monitoring

Other necessary medical expenses related to her recovery

Our goal is to raise enough funds to help cover her hospital bills and continuing medication and treatment expenses.

We will do our best to provide updates on her condition and, whenever appropriate, share information about the medical expenses and funds raised so that our supporters can see how their generosity is helping our mother.

Every bit of help matters

This is not an easy thing for our family to ask.

Our mother is still fighting, and we want to give her every possible chance to recover without having to worry about whether we can keep up with the growing medical expenses.
