Luke fight for SSPE

Luke is a 12-year-old child, a happy and sweet child to everyone. Luke was born with G6PD also, and he is required to undergo daily laboratory test or monthly but we cannot do that since we do not have enough money to pay for his laboratory.

He was diagnosed with Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) last May 2021 and are comatose, he was only 7yr old during that time.

Subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) is a progressive neurological disorder characterized by inflammation of the brain (encephalitis). The disease may develop due to reactivation of the measles virus or an inappropriate immune response to the measles virus.

May 2021, his seizures attacks for more than 1hr ( 48mins ) to be exact and they said he needs to be intubated. I wasn't able to let my child go in the ICU but i know he needs it. The doctor says, most of the patient suffering from SSPE, their lives last up go 3yrs only based on their studies, but it depends how the brain works since this is a brain problem. The doctor says, his case is prognosis SSPE STAGE 4, which is the final stage already. In addition, there is possibility that he may suffer cardiac arrest. Help our Luke to save his life.

January 2025, he was admitted and undergo operation due pleural effusion. His lungs has a lot of water that needs to be drain.

Pleural effusion is an abnormal buildup of excess fluid between the thin membranes (the pleura) lining your lungs and chest wall. The two main types are transudative (caused by fluid leaking from blood vessels due to high pressure or low protein) and exudative (caused by inflammation, infection, or blocked drainage). Common underlying causes include heart failure, pneumonia, and cancer. He was admitted for more than 1month.

And this May of 2026, he suffered difficulty of breathing. We went straight to the hospital to proceed with the chest xray and results came out that he has a pneumonia. From May up to July 2026 he still has a pneumonia.

And the doctor said he needs to be monitored specially the vital signs. His lungs are weak due to prolonged pneumonia.

I am selling different kinds of food BUY FOR A CAUSE to help our daily financial, but it wasn't enough since his maintenance are all expensive. Since this is a brain problem as i stated above.

I am Luke’s stepmother, he is 6yr old when he was with me. We got a lot of bondings together that i cherish.
