Help Me Take the Next Step in My Psoriasis Journey

My name is Julia, and I am raising funds to help cover the medical expenses related to my psoriasis vulgaris.

Living with psoriasis has been one of the most difficult challenges I have faced. It affects me not only physically, but also emotionally and financially. Managing this condition requires continuous medical care, consultations, medications, laboratory tests, and treatments to keep the symptoms under control.

One of the treatments my doctor has recommended is Secukinumab, a biologic medication, which is considered one of the safer and more effective treatment options for managing moderate to severe psoriasis. Unfortunately, Secukinumab is not available over the counter and requires a prescription from a doctor.

The cost is also a major challenge. A 300 mg dose of Secukinumab can cost approximately ₱32,000–₱35,000 (around $500–$600) per pen or vial, depending on the pharmacy, hospital, and prescribed dosage schedule. The expenses can become especially difficult during the initial loading phase, when multiple injections may be required during the first few weeks, before moving to maintenance doses that are typically given once every four weeks.

Because of these costs, I have roughly estimated that I may need around ₱306,000 for one year of treatment. My goal is not only to afford the biologic medication, but also to help cover the consultations, laboratory tests, other prescribed medicines, and necessary medical expenses that come with managing my condition.

Most importantly, I hope that receiving proper and consistent treatment will help me regain control of my psoriasis and eventually be healthy and well enough to work again. Being able to return to work would allow me to support myself and contribute to my daily needs instead of constantly struggling with the financial burden of my condition.

I know ₱306,000 is a large amount, but every contribution, no matter how small, can bring me one step closer to getting the treatment I need. ₱100, ₱500, ₱1,000, or any amount you can give can make a meaningful difference.
