Help My Sister Finish Her Nursing Degree ❤️

Every family has a dream. For our family, that dream is to see our youngest become a nurse.

I am creating this fundraising campaign for my younger sister, who is currently a 4th-year Nursing student and is already very close to finishing the course she has worked so hard for.

We come from a simple and financially struggling family in the Philippines.

Our father works as a laborer, but his income depends entirely on whether there is work available. There are days when he has work and days when there is none, which means there is also no income. Our mother is a housewife and has no regular source of income. Our family's income is very limited, and we consider ourselves among families who are truly in need.

Despite our situation, our parents have always done everything they could to keep their children in school.

Unfortunately, nursing is an expensive course. Aside from tuition and school fees, my sister has expenses for Related Learning Experiences (RLEs), clinical requirements, uniforms, supplies, transportation, and other requirements needed to complete her nursing education. There are also expenses related to her required training and OJT.

We have tried looking for scholarships and financial assistance, but the assistance available to us has not been enough to cover all of her school expenses.

Because we did not want her to stop studying, our family has had to borrow money from financial institutions to pay for her RLEs and other school requirements.

I have also personally taken out a salary loan to help contribute to the expenses for my sister's OJT in Manila. I am doing whatever I can to help my family, but I also have a family of my own, and we are financially struggling as well.

We have reached a point where we are doing everything we can to keep up with one expense after another.

Our home also needs repairs.

We are grateful that we have a house of our own. But unfortunately, our home is no longer in good condition.

Whenever it rains, the rain also comes inside our house. We place buckets, basins, and whatever containers we can find underneath the leaks just to catch the water.

We know our house needs to be repaired, but we continue to put that need aside because, for us, my sister's education comes first.

Our father is also getting older and will be reaching senior age in the coming years. We know that he cannot continue doing physically demanding labor forever.

This is one of the reasons why my sister is determined to finish Nursing.

She doesn't just want a degree.

She wants to become a nurse so that one day, she can help our parents and give them a better life.

She has already come this far. She is now in her fourth year, and we are hoping that financial difficulties will not become the reason she has to stop when she is already so close to achieving her dream.

We have tried to carry this burden ourselves for as long as we could. We have borrowed, adjusted our expenses, sacrificed things, and done whatever we could to keep her in school.

But now, we need help.

We are reaching out because we honestly do not know where else to turn.

We are not asking anyone to carry our family's entire burden. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to us.

Your contribution can help with her remaining school fees, RLE expenses, clinical requirements, transportation, OJT-related expenses, supplies, and other necessities she needs to complete her Nursing degree.

If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign would already be a tremendous help. You never know who might see it and be in a position to help.

We are not ashamed to ask for help. We are simply a family doing our best to give our daughter and sister the opportunity to finish what she started.

Our greatest hope is that one day, my sister will finally wear her nursing uniform as a licensed nurse and look back at this difficult chapter knowing that we did everything we could to help her reach the finish line.
