There are moments in life that change everything.

For our family, that moment came when my mother, Marlene, was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.

No words can truly prepare you for hearing that someone you love is facing a battle like this.

My mom has always been the kind of person who puts others before herself. Whether it was family, friends, neighbors, or even someone she had just met, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand. She has always believed that kindness costs nothing, and she lived by that every single day.

To many, she is simply "Naynay"—a loving mother, a loyal friend, and someone whose compassion has touched countless lives.

To me, she is everything.

She raised me on her own as a single mother, sacrificing so much so I could have a better future. She worked tirelessly, carried burdens she never talked about, and gave me unconditional love through every stage of my life. She has always been my source of strength.

Today, the strongest person I know is facing the hardest battle of her life.

Cancer has changed our lives in ways we never imagined. Along with the emotional pain comes the overwhelming financial burden of consultations, laboratory tests, medications, hospital visits, and ongoing treatment. While we are doing everything we can as a family, the costs have become more than we can manage on our own.

Asking for help is not easy.

But if there's one thing my mother has taught me, it's that kindness has a way of coming back to us through the people whose hearts are willing to help.

Today, I am humbly asking for that kindness.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward my mother's medical care, medications, treatments, and other hospital expenses. If you're unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with your family, friends, or community would mean just as much to us.

My mother has spent her life caring for others.

Now, she needs others to help care for her.

If you've ever experienced the love of a mother, watched someone you love fight cancer, or simply want to help a family hold on to hope, we ask you to stand with us during this difficult time.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story.

Thank you for every prayer, every share, every kind word, and every donation.

Your generosity gives us hope. It gives my mother strength. And most importantly, it gives her another chance to keep fighting.

We continue to pray for healing, and we believe that hope is strongest when a community comes together.

Thank you for being part of my mother's journey.

With love and gratitude,

Sharielyn / Shai
