This is the case of Zoe Athalia Laforteza, 3 years old female, from Lucao District, Dagupan City, Pangasinan, managed as a case of Langerhan Cell Histiocytosis since March 2024. Chemotherapy was started since March 25, 2024 and completed until June 15, 2026. Chemotherapy medications include Prednisone, IV Vinblastine, and Mercaptopurine. At present, latest laboratory results and clinical evaluation revealed a remission.

Two weeks PTC, patient presented with blurring of vision and relatives noted whitish plaque on both eyes. Further evaluation and consultation with Pediatric Ophthalmologist revealed Cataract on both eyes. Patient was then scheduled for cataract surgery.

At present, patient is clinically stable and recent laboratory results are within acceptable range.

Patient may undergo the contemplated procedure if benefit outweighs the risk, hematology/oncology wise.
