I am humbly writing this letter to seek financial assistance for the urgent medical treatment of my son, Liam Quimay, a four-year-old child who is currently battling a complex congenital heart condition.

At an early age, Liam was noted to have bradycardia, which was subsequently diagnosed as Complete Heart Block. Due to his condition, a single-chamber pacemaker was implanted to help regulate his heart rhythm. During his follow-up consultations, an echocardiogram revealed additional heart defects, including Supravalvar Pulmonary Stenosis (PS) and Atrial Septal Defect (ASD).

Recently, further medical evaluation showed that Liam's pacemaker is already nearing its replacement period. On physical examination, he had a heart rate of 100 beats per minute and a Grade 3/6 systolic ejection murmur heard at the left upper sternal border radiating to his back. A repeat echocardiogram confirmed the presence of:

- Severe valvar and supravalvar Pulmonic Stenosis

- Perimembranous Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)

- Sinus Venosus Atrial Septal Defect (ASD)

Due to the severity of his condition, his doctors strongly recommend corrective open-heart surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass to repair the heart defects, along with an upgrade of his current pacemaker to a dual-chamber pacemaker.

The estimated medical expenses are as follows:

- Dual-Chamber Pacemaker Insertion, Pulse Generator, and Two Epicardial Leads: ₱450,000.00

- Pulmonic Stenosis Repair, ASD Closure, and VSD Closure under cardiopulmonary bypass: ₱792,000.00

Total Estimated Medical Cost: ₱1,242,000.00

As parents, we are doing everything within our means to provide Liam with the treatment he urgently needs. However, the amount required is far beyond our family's financial capacity. Therefore, we are sincerely appealing to your kind and generous heart for any financial assistance that may help cover his medical expenses.
