My sister Kharyl has been fighting Gravida 2 para 2 (2002) Round Cell Carcinoma, Cervic, STAGE 3B since Nov 5, 2022. She recently underwent an emergency nephrostomy procedure to keep her kidneys functioning, and there are days when the pain leaves her unable to get out of bed. Yet through every difficult day, she holds on — because two little girls are waiting for their mom to get better.

Who She Is

Kharyl is a devoted single mother and one of the most selfless people I know. She has spent her whole life quietly showing up for everyone around her, never asking for anything in return. Even now, before reaching out for help, she sold her own belongings — piece by piece — to cover her medical bills and keep her family’s daily needs met. That is simply who she is.
