Our Journey of Hope: Fighting for Our Little One

We were once just like any couple—excited and hopeful to become parents. Despite the challenges of PCOS and diabetes, we held on to our dream and felt truly blessed when we found out we were expecting our little one. But along with this blessing came unimaginable challenges.

My partner’s pregnancy is high-risk due to Type 1 diabetes and PCOS. What should have been a joyful journey has become a constant battle for survival. She has already been hospitalized four times due to infections and complications. Each time, we hold our breath, praying that both mother and baby make it through.

Even in her weakest moments, she refuses to give up. Even when she feels hopeless, she keeps fighting—for our baby. And we believe our baby is fighting too.

Diabetes has made everything more complicated and painful. It is heartbreaking to see the person I love endure so much suffering, especially while carrying our child. Every hospitalization drains not only her strength but also our resources.

All four hospitalizations have completely wiped out our savings. My partner had to stop working due to her condition and the demands of a high-risk pregnancy. I, too, have been deeply affected—emotionally, physically, and financially, as I find myself constantly in and out of the hospital with her.

I am now deep in debt, with loans coming from every direction, and I honestly don’t know where to turn next. My work has also been greatly affected because I need to be by her side through every emergency and complication.

Still, we refuse to give up.
