My name is Ma Christina Elena H. Lisondra, and I am humbly asking for your kindness and support as I continue my battle for recovery.
On February 22, 2026, I was admitted to Polymedic Medical Plaza, where I fought for my life against urosepsis, septic shock, community-acquired pneumonia, and emphysematous infection of my left kidney. I spent six days in the ICU and underwent two kidney-related operations just one week apart. I was discharged on March 23, but my journey to recovery was far from over.
My hospitalization left us with an overwhelming financial burden. Our hospital bill reached approximately ₱1.1 million, excluding nearly ₱300,000 worth of medicines we purchased outside the hospital since Day 1 of my treatment. These expenses have exhausted our family's resources, along with the financial assistance we received from various government agencies.
I went home with two nephrostomy tubes to drain the infection from my left kidney and a double-J stent. Unfortunately, because of our financial difficulties, we had to postpone my next procedures to remove my kidney stones.
Sadly, the infection recurred, and on October 6, 2026, I was hospitalized again due to fever and another abscess around my nephrostomy catheter. I am currently receiving intravenous antibiotics. My doctors are planning further procedures, including PCNL and RIRS, and I also need a renal scan to determine whether my left kidney is still functioning or may need to be removed.
As I prepare for my upcoming surgery and continue my fight for recovery, I am humbly asking for your help. My family and I have done everything we can, but we can no longer shoulder these medical expenses alone.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help cover my hospital bills, medications, diagnostic tests, and upcoming surgical expenses. If you are unable to donate, sharing my story would also mean so much to us.
Asking for help is not easy, but I am holding on to hope and praying for another chance to heal. I want to recover, move forward, and ease the burden my family has been carrying.
To everyone who takes the time to read, donate, share, or pray for me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness gives me and my family hope during one of the most difficult times of our lives.
With gratitude and hope,
Ma Christina Elena H. Lisondra ❤️
