Help Me Save the Life of a Beautiful Filipina Aunt
Campaign Gallery
Hello everyone,
Right now I’m traveling through the Philippines. Through a guest stay, I ended up living with a local family who welcomed me with open arms from the very first day. They treat me with so much kindness, warmth, and genuine care.
Now, this beautiful family is facing a heartbreaking and life-threatening situation… and I cannot just stand by without trying to help.
In November, their aunt Daday discovered a small spot on her right breast. She received a referral to see another doctor, but here that doesn’t mean immediate help. You have to search for that specific doctor yourself, travel to different places and start the process all over again.
They traveled to one of the bigger islands Luzon and went to the Mandaluyong Hospital, where she had bloodwork done as well as a CT scan and a MRI scan. The doctor told her she would need chemo therapy.
But she never went back.
Not because she didn’t want treatment but because she simply did not have the money for it.
She could not afford chemotherapy. She could not afford additional CT scans. She could not afford more blood tests.
And without payment, treatment stops.
Over the past months, her condition has drastically worsened. What started as a small spot has now developed into a severe, flesh-eating infection. Her entire right breast has been destroyed, and the infection is still spreading.
Her condition is critical and she urgently needs surgery.
The public hospital has refused to continue treating her. They literally sent her away and told her she needs to go to a private hospital. But private care here is incredibly expensive and this family simply cannot afford it.
The healthcare system in the Philippines works very differently from what many of us are used to. Without health insurance, you do not receive proper medical treatment. Her husband is a fisherman, and their income is small and unstable. Health insurance is something they could never afford. Usually, only people working for the government have reliable insurance coverage
The doctor has said she needs surgery as soon as possible. The cost of the operation is 300,000 Filipijnse pesos (around €4,000 / $4,500).
For many of us, this is a significant amount. For them, it is completely unreachable.
This family has given me love and care without expecting anything in return. Now I want to do something for them.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings her closer to the life-saving surgery she desperately needs.
If you are not able to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
Let’s come together and help a family that truly deserves support. 💛
Thank you so much for reading, for caring, and for any help you can give.
