On June 8, 2026, our lives changed because of the earthquake.

That day, I experienced a kind of fear that is difficult to put into words. When the ground shook, I feared that our house might collapse and that we might lose our lives. We rushed outside, not knowing where to go or what would happen next. Even after the shaking stopped, the fear remained. The thought of aftershocks and returning to our damaged home made it difficult to feel safe.

Our house was severely damaged, and we could no longer feel safe staying there. A place that once gave us shelter and security suddenly became a source of fear and uncertainty.

Since then, we have been trying to find a way to start over.

My mother, our beloved dog, and I are now staying in a small rented apartment. We are grateful to have somewhere to stay, but the cost of starting over has been difficult for us to manage. We had to borrow ₱20,000 to cover the advance rent and security deposit just to secure our temporary home.

We have already received some financial assistance, and we are genuinely thankful to everyone who has helped us. However, the assistance we received has not been enough to cover all our needs as we try to recover from this disaster.

Right now, our biggest concern is being able to pay our upcoming rent, buy food and basic household necessities, and cover our utility bills. We also hope to gradually repay the money we borrowed to secure our apartment.

Asking for help is not easy. I never imagined that we would find ourselves in this situation, trying to rebuild our lives after losing the security of our home. But sometimes, circumstances become too difficult to face alone, and I am learning that it is okay to ask for help when we truly need it.

That is why I am reaching out through this campaign.

I am hoping to raise ₱75,000 to help us cover our housing expenses, food, utilities, household essentials, and other urgent recovery needs. Our immediate priority is to keep a roof over our heads and make sure we have the basic necessities while we work toward a more stable situation.

Every donation, no matter how small, would make a meaningful difference to us. If you are unable to donate, sharing our story with others would also mean so much.

I know that many people are also going through difficult times, and I understand that not everyone can help financially. Please know that even your prayers, kind words, and willingness to share our story are deeply appreciated.

We are not asking for a life of luxury. We are simply hoping for the chance to feel safe again, meet our basic needs, and slowly rebuild what the earthquake took away from us.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Thank you to everyone who has already helped us, and to those who may choose to extend a helping hand.

Your kindness would give us more than financial assistance. It would give us hope that, even after such a frightening experience, we can still find our way toward a better and more stable life.

May kindness find its way back to everyone who helps us. ❤️
