Hello,

My name is Jed, and this is one of the most difficult things I have ever written.

I never imagined that I would one day ask strangers for help. I've always believed that if you work hard and take responsibility for your actions, you should do everything you can to solve your own problems. That belief has never changed.

I work full-time as a software developer in the government, and my wife also works full-time. In addition to my regular job, I spend my free time building a freelance career in software development because I am determined to improve our financial situation. We are not avoiding work, and we are not looking for an easy way out.

Today, however, my wife and I are carrying approximately ₱2,000,000 in debt.

I take responsibility for the financial decisions that brought us here. Looking back, there are choices I wish I had made differently. I cannot change the past, but I can choose how I move forward. Every day, I am working toward rebuilding our lives through honest work, discipline, and better financial decisions.

The hardest part of this journey is seeing how it has affected my wife.

She has stood by me through every difficult moment. She continues to work hard every day, contributes to paying our obligations, and never stops encouraging me even when the future feels uncertain. Watching the person I love carry this burden alongside me is something I think about every single day. She deserves a future that isn't defined by constant financial stress.

Even with both of us working, a large portion of our income goes toward loan payments and essential household expenses. We continue to pay what we can, but it often feels like we are running as fast as we can just to stay in the same place.

I am not asking anyone to take responsibility for my mistakes.

I am simply asking for a chance to recover from them.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will help reduce the financial pressure on our family and allow us to focus on rebuilding our future instead of merely surviving each month. Every donation will go toward reducing our debt and helping us regain financial stability.

I also promise to continue doing my part. I will keep working, continue growing my freelance career, and remain committed to paying our obligations. My goal is not to depend on the generosity of others forever. My goal is to reach a point where our family is financially stable again—and one day, I hope to be in a position to help others who are facing hardships like ours.

If you are unable to donate, sharing our campaign or keeping us in your prayers would mean the world to us.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Thank you for believing that people deserve a second chance.

With gratitude,

Jed & My Wife
