How much does it cost to start a campaign?
Creating a campaign on BayanihanPH is completely free. We charge an 8% administrative fee on donations received, which covers platform maintenance, payment processing, security measures, and customer support. This fee is automatically deducted from donations, so campaign creators don't pay anything upfront.
What payment methods are accepted?
Donors can contribute using GCash, Maya, or credit cards. All transactions are processed securely in Philippine Pesos (PHP). Payment processing fees are included in our 8% administrative fee, so there are no additional charges for donors.
How do I withdraw funds from my campaign?
Campaign organizers can request withdrawals to their verified bank accounts. Withdrawals are processed during banking days (Monday through Friday, excluding Philippine holidays) and typically take up to 7 banking days from approval. You'll need to verify your bank account information before withdrawing.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Donations made through BayanihanPH are generally not tax-deductible unless the campaign organizer is a registered charitable organization. We recommend consulting with a tax professional for specific advice regarding your donation.
How do I know if a campaign is legitimate?
We verify campaign organizers through identity verification. Look for verified badges on profiles and campaigns. We also review campaigns for compliance with our terms of service. However, we recommend donors exercise due diligence by reading campaign details, checking organizer profiles, and reviewing campaign updates before donating.
Can I get a refund for my donation?
Donations are generally non-refundable. However, refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances such as proven fraud or campaign cancellation before funds are disbursed. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to contact@bayanihanph.org within 30 days of the donation date.
